Oman’s Sur Oasis Incubator welcomes entrepreneurs

Sur Oasis Incubator in Sur Industrial City has welcomed its first cohort of entrepreneurs, innovators and inventors most recently.

The incubator accepted start-ups with a range of activities representing the food and beverage, software and information technology, training and consultancy sectors.

Sur Oasis Incubator is managed and operated by the Industrial Innovation Academy and supported by Oman LNG. It offers training programs, business mentoring and workspaces to empower participants in the South Al Sharqiyah governorate.

Officials at the Industrial Innovation Academy showcased Sur Industrial City projects and detailed its plans to successfully connect incubated start-ups with operating businesses. It also introduced the incubated start-ups to available services, programs, benefits and facilities to be offered during the year-long program.

During the event, companies were briefed on the role played by incubation in accelerating the growth of start-ups. In addition, a training workshop was delivered on social media management strategy with the aim of developing skills to manage social media platforms more effectively and successfully promote enterprises.

The Industrial Innovation Academy is currently working on the “Innovation Program”, which aims at developing and supporting innovative services and products and is one of five key programs.

Business Start Up Oman has a network of subject matter experts and specialists to assist with activities throughout the lifecycle of a business in the Sultanate of Oman. The activities include Market Research and Assessment Oman, Oman Business Case, Oman Business Model Development, Feasibility Study and Business Plan Oman, Organizational and Operational Structuring Oman, Oman Sponsorship & Partnership, Company Formation Oman and many others.
