Oman`s National Finance continues to support SMEs

05/03/24

Oman`s National Finance Company has further strenghtened its commitment to local enterprises by extending its collaboration with Sharakah.

Sharakah is an organisation committed to supporting entrepreneurship and subsequent development of SMEs in an effort to diversify the Sultanate`s economy. Under the Imtidad SME Growth Programme 2024, National Finance will provide support to six homegrown establishments. As a result of this initiative, both companies will empower the selected entrepreneurs by helping them navigate challenges, seize opportunities and realise business aspirations.

The Imtidad SME Growth Programme 2024 garnered substantial interest, with over 156 entrepreneurs from diverse sectors applying for support. Following a rigorous selection process, 15 promising candidates were shortlisted, culminating in the selection of the final six. Selected SME`s include Sofred Mobility, TAWABIL, Fascano, Squad Up, Kuch Albun and Oqood, demonstrating the programme's commitment to supporting a diverse range of businesses.

Most recently, National Finance and Sharakah welcomed the six SMEs at an inaugural workshop, where the selected candidates were introduced to the programme. Across a time frame of 12 months, the programme will help the SMEs optimise business performance and achieve sustainable success by identifying areas for improvement. Furthermore, it will drive essential enhancements in key aspects of development.

Moreover, the Imtidad SME Growth Programme 2024 will utilise Sharakah`s extensive training history and established advisory sessions in order to provide valuable guidance. Additionally, the programme will feature field visits to provide practical experience through consultations with existing entrepreneurship scenarios in the current market. Consequently, this process will foster the development of each SME while equipping participants with essential skills to navigate growth.
